Oracle WMS not rendering

We are experiencing an issue rendering maps through uDig with Oracle WMS
(Oracle 10g 10.2.0.1). When the GetCapabilities url is entered into the Add
Layer wizard and one or more of the WMS' layers are selected, it appears in the
project pane but will not render on the map. In addition, the bottom status
bar displays error:null.
It should be noted that the maps can be displayed through Oracle Map Viewer and
the ArcGIS software without issues. The attached image shows the error
described above.
