Also feel free to change the ViewportGraphics API and send me the patches. I just add to it as needed.

Thanks for the answers, but I guess I didn't explain myself properly. I do not need hints on how to create swt graphics gradients, but how
to do it with the Viewportgraphic, which has only a setColor method
and works with java2d methods.

You guys mean I can override the java2d behaviour and go with swt?
