MySQL Plugin
------------

                 Key: UDIG-1421
                 URL: http://jira.codehaus.org/browse/UDIG-1421
             Project: uDIG
          Issue Type: Bug
          Components: mysql
    Affects Versions: UDIG 1.1.0
Environment: XP, uDigAug17, MySQLServer4.1 (that is where the
databases are though I do have 5.0 as well)
            Reporter: tmarsh
            Assignee: Jody Garnett
            Priority: Critical

When trying to add data to a map via MySQL, once you enter host, username, and
password information, the interface will constantly try to connect to the
database (the statusbar as well as the back, next and finish buttons at the
bottom will continually flash), but never truly connect. It will show your
databases, and after a few seconds (less than 30) it will stop trying to
connect and look like it worked properly (I assume) but as soon as you attempt
to choose a different database (I have a couple) it tells you , "No operations
allowed after connection closed." at the top of the gui interface. If instead
you simply try to click next you will be given the message, "Connection
parameters are invalid."

I have not yet tried a database in MySQLServer5.0 (or 5.1) nor have I tried
only having one database. Also I know the databases can be accessed because I
am able to do so via JDBC using Eclipse.
