It appears as if the capabilities URL is being rewritten (to have the
correct VERSION, REQUEST, SERVICE) - and leaving out that mapfile
argument that mapserver requires. This is a problem we fixed recently;
but the fix appears not to be working on trunk here ...
Gabriel do you remember what was done in this area? It was an area you
were working with last January....

I've added a bug in Geotools (http://jira.codehaus.org/browse/GEOT-2027).
It actually looks like I can't add any WFS server from that uDig site
(Web view). It doesn't seem to like parsing the capabilities doc for
some of the servers, and the others get the error mentioned above. So
double whammy! Looks like 2 separate problems.
I'll add that bug too...*sigh*
