Java Heap Space issue in custom application

We have got a goa.tif file which works fine with Udig and also with the product
when I run it from the development environment. But, when I run it through the
customapp.exe( the exported product) then it does not open and shows the
following errors:
Rending (Time of Error: January 6, 2009 12:30:56 GMT+5:#0) Reason: Java heap
space
This error is occured when you open an image and drag to the layer view. This
window is taking much time to load an image.
