If it is the same for you I would prefer to use github, since all the
uDig development is going on there.

Ah, sorry, now I understand. Sure, good you do this. Inside your uDig
checkout you will find it inside the
extras/net.refractions.udig.dev/codetemplates.xml
path. Are you missing it? Are you working on sdk or git checkout?
