Hi Mauricio, to be honest I do not like that approach, but sure thing you guys are free to choose whichever way to go, since it is open.
When I helped to start up the modules I really meant to do it in order to have it in udig core, with the eu.udig namespace, as agreed at that time. Maybe it is just me, but this has been run a bit hidden. If you needed to have axios namespace, you should have said so at that time and we would have discussed it. Obviously the axios module will be better, since it is developed, while the one in trunk isn't (I though that there development would have gone). So please remove the georeferencing module from the udig trunk, since it doesn't make any sense and only adds entrophy to the toolbar and confusion to the user.
