Not really, it was only a curiosity of mine.
I'm simply asking this because I have tried the standard
eu.udig.imagegeoreferencing plugin with order = 2 and the result has heavy
distortions. (Maybe it's only matter of marker accuracy and marker numbers)
Just asking if you have tried with greater polynomial order.
