Ok, but before releasing we should be some testing. Which means that 1.2.2 won't be available too soon for osgeo dvd.
BTW, I like the debug and clean startup scripts. At first look they have two problems: 1) the udig 64 bit version of udig-debug.sh is for macosx 2) I would not clone the scripts, i.e. udig-debug.sh should simply call "udig.sh -debug" so it is less errorprone when changes come along.
