I am working on a project mentored by Jody that is using uDig as its base product, as part of the project we have budget to contribute any core fixes/updates back to the uDig project. Although I intend to use the GitHub pull request feature to contribute any large changes I would like to request Git commit assess as it would make contributing small fixes much easer and make my project managers much happier. We are currently in the design phase however I have some time in the next month to get down and dirty with uDig and hopefully contribute a bug fix or two.
