Hi Everyone,
I'd like to introduce myself briefly. My name is Andrew Ross. I work for
the Eclipse Foundation. I've been working to help the PSC after they
approached me investigating the Eclipse Foundation.
I'm not totally new to geo technologies. I was part of a team that made
the Ingres DBMS (GPLv2 license) OGC compliant. We also contributed to
GEOS, GDAL/OGR, Proj.4, and other projects. In addition we supported
OSGeo, FOSS4G, and some projects financially. My team and I also
developed ESRI ArcGIS support (read & write) for Ingres. I've attended
nearly every FOSS4G and Ottawa local chapter meeting since 2007 and have
been active in the OSGeo/Geospatial community.
