We were able to come up with a workaround (so we can make use of the 
automatically generated SDK).  

1. Open up udig.product
2. Switch to the features tab
3. remove udig_language
4. change the version number of udig-feature to … nothing
5. You can now run!

I am going to continue to look at including language support in the SDK; but we 
can proceed for now
