I am submitting to the developer community my first version of the

Axios Tools ported for uDig 1.3.2

The plug-in comprises

- Arc Tool  --> [ported]
- Parallel Tool  --> [ported]
- Split Tool  --> [ported]
- Trim Tool  --> [ported]
- Merge Tool --> [bug-fixed for some of
https://jira.codehaus.org/browse/UDIG-1911]

The code can be found here

https://github.com/mcfoi/udig-platform/tree/new-udig_tools-beta/plugins/eu.udig.tools

More in detail:
- Arc Tool, Parallel Tool, Trim Tool and Split Tool were just ported, so
they contain all eventual bugs contained in the original Axios version.
- Merge Tool was extended with a new OPERATION workflow (all efforts have
been made also to preserve previous one). This means that now you can
select some features using Box Selection tool, right click on them, select
"Operations -> Merge Selected" to have the tool up and running on the
selection. More, if selection is changed while the tool is open, the tool
content will dynamically update to reflect the new set of selected features.

Jody: can you pass it to any user for further testing? ..and, can you
point me to where I can find information about creating a compiled plug-in
(like those that can be just copied to the plug-in folder of an installed
uDig to have them working - like it is for Beegis plug-in)
