Good Morning: As one of the steps of getting ready to join the Eclipse Foundation "LocationTech" Industry working group we need to change the project license.
We have a shortlist of three licenses: - BSD (http://opensource.org/licenses/BSD-2-Clause) (example EDL (http://www.eclipse.org/org/documents/edl-v10.php)) - Eclipse Public License (http://opensource.org/licenses/epl-1.0) (FAQ (http://www.eclipse.org/legal/eplfaq.php)) - MIT (http://opensource.org/licenses/mit-license.html) I am emailing this to both udig-devel and udig-user email lists. We follow a public "Request for Change" procedure for running the uDig project (including changes like this (http://udig.refractions.net/confluence/display/UDIG/License+Change)). While the final decision rests with the project steering committee we *very* interested in hearing from you.
