Hi, well ... it could be.  
I was analyzing the problem. I couldn't reproduce the deadlock in hole cutter. 

So, I was doing a code review taking into account the thread's stacks 
provided, but right now I haven't any explanation. 

I suspect that the pool of thread was not shutdown from a previous execution, 
then the there are a thread with lock status living in the udig's jre.
