Hi,
I just installed MYSQL 3.22.27 binary distribution on FREEBSD3.4. And when i wanted to
check whether the server is up and running by giving the command "bin/mysqladmin
version" it's giving the error message "/usr/libexec/ld-elf.so.1: Shared object
"libmysqlclient.so.6" not found". I checked my directories for the file
"libmysqlclient.so.6" and it's located in usr/mysql/lib. I guess this some problem
with linking. I have set the paths for LD_RUN_PATH & LD_LIBRARY_PATH to this path but
even this didn't help me. I have checked the log file it hasn't got any error message
but this.
mysqld started on Thu Jul 6 16:55:26 PDT 2000
/usr/home/nkamidi/mysql32227/mysql-3.22.27-unknown-freebsd3.2-i386/bin/mysqld: ready
for connections
Can you suggest something??
