limudmsearch.a was SOOO 3.1.8 tainted, that 3.1.9 when it looked for a 
function, the offset pointer would move ever so slightly into another's stack(gdb 
backtrace and step gave lots of info here), and at some point it would all together 
crash (after much memory leakage).  

Problem -- Solved
