Science/Astronomy:

* Biggest Lightning Storm Ever Recorded on Saturn

http://www.space.com/scienceastronomy/060214_saturn_lightning.html

Scientists are tracking the strongest lighting storm ever detected at Saturn.
The storm is larger than the continental United States, with electrical
activity 1,000 times stronger than the lightning on Earth.

* Recount Results: A Million Stars Missing

http://www.space.com/scienceastronomy/060214_scitues_lost_stars.html

Call it a slip-up in stellar record keeping. A new survey finds that the
globular cluster Messier 12 actually has about one million fewer stars than
astronomers had long assumed.

* Planets Might Orbit Backward around Odd Star

http://www.space.com/scienceastronomy/060213_backards.html

A developing star has been found to have two disks of material rotating in
opposite directions. The discovery hints at a future solar system with planets
going this way and that.

* Image of the Day: Olympics From on High

* ASTRONOTES: SuitSat Signal Survives

http://www.space.com/astronotes/astronotes.html

An unmanned spacesuit drifting in Earth orbit is still pumping out a weak radio
signal more than 10 days since astronauts tossed it from the International
Space Station (ISS), NASA officials said Tuesday.

* NASA Recycles Former ISS Module for Life Support Research

http://www.space.com/missionlaunches/060214_iss_module.html

A module once destined to house astronauts aboard the International Space
Station (ISS) has found a new purpose as a test bed for future life support
systems.

* NASA Moon Plans Advance

http://www.space.com/news/060214_staif_moonplans.html

NASA is fleshing out details of launch vehicles, robotic and human exploration
systems that can enable a sustained back to the Moon effort, including possible
establishment of an Antarctic-like lunar outpost.

* NASA Revising Public Affairs Policies

http://www.space.com/spacenews/businessmonday_060213.html

NASA is revising its public affairs policies following allegations that
political appointees tried to muzzle the agency's top climatologist, who is
known for speaking his mind about global warming.

* Commentary: NASA's 2007 Budget Proposal: No Real Vision

http://www.space.com/news/HuntressFriedman_Commentary_021306.html

Let's put the bottom line right at the top. The Bush administration is
unwilling to provide the funds necessary to fulfill its Vision for Space
Exploration.

who are 50 and older.

* Why Some Old Lovers Look Alike

http://www.livescience.com/humanbiology/060214_face_personality.html
