The crude fix is to delete your .gnome* and .gconf* dirs and starting over.
You will lose all your customizations.

So keep this as the second-last fix ( the  last one being formatting :)  ,
yeah we are talking real drastic measures here)

I've faced this error as well. I used the fix I mentioned before.

It's mostly Gnome-VFS I think (not too sure )

is your gstreamer stuff borked?

Ah! This is the real reason. Listen to Eagles, Scorpions and Dire Straits (
May be Pink Floyd ). Your system will love those!
