Use isainfo -b or isainfo -v . If your hardware is x86-64 then the solaris kernel will also be 64 bit kernel by default. Also during startup you can see whether your machine is running 32 bit or 64 bit os.
P.S- If you would like solaris to boot in 32 bit mode see here - http://blogs.sun.com/ajaykumar/entry/boot_solaris_in_32_bit ( Just one change - menu.lst in opensolaris 2008.05 exists in /rpool/boot/grub/menu.lst and not in /boot/menu.lst since ZFS<http://opensolaris.org/os/community/zfs/>is the default root file system ) On Mon, Jun 30, 2008 at 4:35 PM, Harshal <p.harshal at gmail.com> wrote: > how do i know if i am running x86 or x64 kernel in opensolaris 2008.05? > -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed...
