Well the problem is fixed. Al informed me that there was a typo is the default route entry in the router at ISC that interfaces with the Genunix servers! 0.8 will take a little more time. It is really an enormous amount of work to get complete KDE4 suite built and properly integrated - not the least of it being the truckloads of external dependencies. The result however is quite cool.
