First, the bleated statutory warning about BFU:

SUNWlexpt is in the SFW consolidation. You can get a latest version by 
checking out the current SFW code and building it.

AFAIK, update_pkgs is not available outside of SWAN. Not sure how it 
figures in a public flag day. You might want to ask 
opensolaris-code at opensolaris.org if you want to pursue it.
