Hi all, feed-back: What it is: an event organised twice a year, by the GNU generation (http://gnugeneration.epfl.ch) to facilitate installation of Linux on Students laptops How: 2 concurrents session: * one Young Pinguins: a step by step : what is VirtualBox, how to use a Linux VM (prepared ready to use Ubuntu). * one Install fest: online help to install natively Ubuntu on a laptop. Laptops supposd to be repartionned, data already backed up.
Interesting Feedback: - they didn't know that OpenSolaris exists - they are willing to help to organise an OpenSOlaris Install Fest, if required - they are not helped by EPFL, where OpenSource is clearly not a strategic orientation for EPFL - there were less participants than what was expected (there was an EPFL party during the previous night) last pictures are here: https://gnugeneration.epfl.ch/if/photos/20091010 Regards -- Sent from a laptop powered by OpenSolaris -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed...
