Yea, read about that Nevada -> Solaris 10, Indiana -> Solaris 11? > Actually, most of the new features and drivers are developed for > OpenSolaris, and once it has been validated and tested, and if there is a > need, it is backported to Solaris. I have read about software features being backported back to Solaris 10/11. > > If you find something in the HCL list of Solaris, it will work with > OpenSolaris. That's what I wanted to hear. :-) That's quite differing from Linux where some server hardware manufacturers only drivers for Enterprise Linux (SLES, RHEL) - which gets problematic, if their hardwaere needs binary drivers which only work with - Enterprise Editions. Thanks for your clear answer. > Cheers and welcome! Thanks! :-) Mathieu P.S.
