Hallo, I have a big issue.. with the installer from the original CD 2009.06 . I would like install it on a sytem with an EFI Partition and more 4 partitions (configured as GUID Table with an other disk utility ) ... BUT , at this version of the install CD there is no way to partion better the disk ... better as fdisk...
With a HD configured as GPT Table , the installer read an EFI , good but understand this partion is configured for the whole disk... UNABLE to install a new partition ... , very BAD... and If made a trick , change the ID of the EFI .. it seems that i can install the os but after the install the Installer change the label and other stuffs are deleted .. same case : very BAD... I see : - a new opensolaris CD , but it seems that we cannot dowload a 2010.xxx at this time ... and i ask me if it will be possible... - or what i can do : i make an installation with this trick.. save the partition table information .. and the partition itself with an dd for example... and after a new parted - relabeling - install other stuffs -- recopy the saved image to the empty partition and hope that a boot manager can integrate the OpenSolaris well.. But I will make that only if there will be a chance that is working otherwise I must die the idea to install OpenSolaris on this system. Anybody has this experience ? Thank you very much...
