Hi
I try these days opensolaris (snv134) again. Everything works as I can see
good, only with two thing a have trouble (the same things as last year):
- The osol is very slow/lazy ("tr?ge" in german). I don't know why. Debian
Linux was very faster, I think. However, my wive can play every
facebook-game, so this is a plus for opensolaris.
- The screen got dark over night, so I had to restart opensolaris (it's
something which I hate). And it sounds probably silly, this problem.
However, I disabled the power management for the monitor, and I hope this
problem will be solved in the future.
I was at OpenExpo yesterday and I got an eye to FreeBSD. If Opensolaris
will keep beeing lazy, I will try out FreeBSD (which also is different to
Linux).
Yes, I'm to same opinion as "a b" regarding Solaris/Opensolaris. However,
I thought I will get osol a try again. Also, I love the zones-concept in
(o)sol.
Regards
Daniel
