Description
When using GDM (Gnome Display Manager), XDMCP access from remote host is not
permitted by default.
Steps to Follow
To allow XDMCP access from the remote host with GDM, modify xdmcp entry in
/etc/X11/gdm/gdm.conf file as follows:

# Distributions: Ship with this off. It is never a safe thing to leave
# out on the net. Setting up /etc/hosts.allow and /etc/hosts.deny to only
# allow local access is another alternative but not the safest.
# Firewalling port 177 is the safest if you wish to have xdmcp on.
# Read the manual for more notes on the security of XDMCP.
Enable=false
TO

Hoppla, da ist mit dem Einfassen der Zitate wohl etwas schiefgegangen. :(
Ich werde mal sehen, ob das ?ber die Mailingliste richtig gesendet wurde, dann
pfriemele ich das hier nachtr?glich rein.
Die Sun-Knowledgebase spuckt zu "xdmcp" u.a. einen Treffer aus, an welchen ich
als armseliger Privatmensch ohne Servicevertrag trotz Registrierung wohl nicht
drankomme...
