Greetings all -

Leisurely, early announce for JUNE. A few folks mentioned that we were a
little rushed with the announce last month - I agree.

So - We are toddling towards the next meeting, which, as we usually
aim for, falls on the 3rd Wednesday of the month.

Last month: Solaris packaging and patching from Malcolm, AVS,
replication and stuff from Boyd and Solaris Performance escalation
process and tidbits from Nathan. All good stuff and lots of great
discussion. I think we could have run a *lot* longer.

For June, we have the Boyd, Andre and Nathan show!

More beginner/slightly beyond beginner Dtrace, more on performance
(observation and understanding stuff) and a look through the more recent
and interesting putbacks into the Nevada source tree. (which will likely
spawn future talks).

Please respond in the positive OR negative ASAP so Pizza and Drinks can
be planned. :)

Where?
Level 7, 476 St Kilda Road, Melbourne,
When?
Wednesday June the 17th, 2009 at 18:00 for general
discussion.

Speakers start at 18:30 sharp, with Pizza arriving somewhere around
20:00ish.

Speakers / Topics will be:

    - Boyd + Nathan: Dtrace - gett'n funky with more examples and demos.

    - Andre and Nathan: Performance observation. We won't make you an
expert, but might help you understand some of what you (and we!)
don't know about performance, and give you a start in the right
      direction.

    - Andre, Boyd and Nathan: Recent Nevada putbacks; what's interesting
and what do we want to talk about more?

Soft drink, coffee/tea and Pizza will be available. (YES - FOOD.)

**If you plan to attend, please reply NOW to nathan at optusnet.com.au so
that we can plan for seating / pizza / drinks!**

To anyone who meets with or talks to folks interested in Solaris: Please
let everyone know about the meeting, the time and the date. We had a
great first meeting, and would love to continue to grow the group.

A note on access: The Lifts in the building and entrance to Level 7
automatically lock early in the evening, so access will be provided by
Sun folks on-site. A sign will also be placed close to the ground floor
lifts with a contact number, should you arrive after the start of the
meeting.

If you are interested in Solaris, doing interesting things with, or on
Solaris, we want YOU!

Hope to see many of you there, and if you are not yet on the alias
                ug-msosug at opensolaris.org
consider joining us! (See the project page above for details!)

Cheers!
