Otherwise, the format for the SysV package tools is quite well known and not at all mystical - should be easier to put together a package creation tool very easily. I mean, he's a developer, right - he could even publish his efforts as open source! Also, without trying to appear too grouchy - blame it on the headcold - the ug-msosug mailinglist probably isn't the best place for these questions.
