Greetings all -

We are rapidly approaching the next meeting!

Thanks to David Visser and Dan Cook for the preso's last month. They
were great! It was most interesting to see an 'end user' product, in
production, used to within an inch of it's life!

This months meeting should be very interesting for those with a
performance or troubleshooting bent, with Richard Smith stepping up with
a chat on Hardware Performance Counters, and Richard Spindler covering
some Jumpstart troubleshooting.

Please respond in the positive OR negative ASAP so Pizza and Drinks can
be planned. :)

Where?
Level 7, 476 St Kilda Road, Melbourne,
When?
Wednesday, March 19th, 2008 at 18:00 for general discussion.

Speakers start at 18:30 sharp, with Pizza arriving somewhere around
20:00ish.

Speakers, please let me know ASAP if there issues with you being able to
deliver your talk!

Speakers / Topics will be:
       - Richard Spindler
             Jumpstart Troubleshooting.
What you need to know to make it work when it don't!

       - Richard Smith
             Solaris Performance Counter Observation
A start down the road to understanding performance
counters available to you, and what they can tell you.

       - Nathan Kroenert or anyone else (backup, in case we run short!)
A quick look at Indiana preview 2

We'll only schedule two talks this month, as both topics are likely to
include some group discussion and take some time.

Soft drink, coffee/tea and Pizza will be available. (YES - FOOD.)

**If you plan to attend, please reply NOW to nathan at sun.com so that we
can plan for seating / pizza / drinks!**

To anyone who meets with or talks to folks interested in Solaris: Please
let everyone know about the meeting, the time and the date. We had a
great first meeting, and would love to continue to grow the group.

A note on access: The Lifts in the building and entrance to Level 7
automatically lock early in the evening, so access will be provided by
Sun folks on-site. A sign will also be placed close to the ground floor
lifts with a contact number, should you arrive after the start of the
meeting.

If you are interested in Solaris, doing interesting things with, or on
Solaris, we want YOU!

Hope to see many of you there, and if you are not yet on the alias

consider joining us! (See the project page above for details!)

Cheers!
