We were thinking it would be fabulous to have an all OpenSolaris evening for November. Thinking along the lines of having a number of short spots for a number of folks to chat. We are looking for volunteers to talk and topics to talk about. In the back of my mind are the following thoughts: - Where is OpenSolaris at now? - Crossbow: Where is it now? (We talked about crossbow a little, but not much yet.) - AI: Can it deploy OpenSolaris, what does it take, or was it just a kooky movie about a robot? - Comstar: Where is the whole common target thingy at and what can we do with it? - Suspend and resume: Anyone got it working? - Solaris *10* Branded Zones (went into build 127) - iSCSI Boot - Where is the whole Xen thing up to? - What the hell is Boomer Audio? - Solaris Packet Capture - ClearView IP Tunneling - Solaris RBridges - Anyone care to explain what a Routing Bridge is? - SATA Port Multiplier support - ZFS: Recent improvements like: L2 Arc, ZIL and SSD's, logbias, user-quotas, snapshot holds etc. - Power Management - Boot archives: When was the last time you had one fail on a current system? - What's been removed recently, and will you miss it? Anyone that thinks they might have something interesting to say about the above, or even something else, please let me know.
