Hey all!

I'm sure we all enjoyed last month's discussion on interrogating dumps,
why dumps happen, and what you should do when you take a dump.

<contort body and insert absurd noise here>

This months is going to hit Crossbow and perhaps talk a little about
Clearview. We have an open spot for up to two short talks on whatever
you are doing in Solaris / OpenSolaris land and we are also planning on
having some networking stuff on hand, and some local repo's for anyone
who is interested in updating or copying the current REPO's.

See below for topics/speakers.

Please respond in the positive OR negative ASAP so Pizza and Drinks can
be planned. :)

Where?
Level 7, 476 St Kilda Road, Melbourne,
When?
Wednesday January the 20h, 2009 at 18:00 for general
discussion and setup of network stuff.

Speakers start at 18:30 sharp, with Pizza arriving somewhere around
20:00ish.

Speakers / Topics will be:

    - Nathan Kroenert: Crossbow and Clearview: What are they and why do
you care? (And what's all this GLDv3 stuff?) What's the future of
networking stuff in Solaris?

    - UpdateFest with a local repository / Optionally, depending
on how cavaleer you are feeling, a minimalist installfest... ;)

Be sure to bring your USB disks or other preferred storage device.

    - Short Topics Window. (I have had a few indications from folks
they might be interested, but nothing confirmed yet. Please let
me know if you are keen.

Soft drink, coffee/tea and Pizza will be available. (YES - FOOD.)

**If you plan to attend, please reply NOW to
nathan.kroenert at optusnet.com.au so that we
can plan for seating / pizza / drinks!**

To anyone who meets with or talks to folks interested in Solaris: Please
let everyone know about the meeting, the time and the date. We would
love to continue to continue to grow the group.

A note on access: The Lifts in the building and entrance to Level 7
automatically lock early in the evening, so access will be provided by
Sun folks on-site. A sign will also be placed close to the ground floor
lifts with a contact number, should you arrive after the start of the
meeting.

If you are interested in Solaris, doing interesting things with, or on
Solaris, we want YOU!

See our opensolaris project page:

Hope to see many of you there, and if you are not yet on the alias
                ug-msosug at opensolaris.org
consider joining us! (See the project page above for details!)

Cheers!

The Instigators.
