I'm sure someone can help. I have 6 x 1TB drives.
I'll be doing a new install of Sol10 on the system (Home File Server). I want to maximize space (with some redundancy) so I was thinking.... A 10GB Boot/Root pool mirrored across 5 drives The remaining space on the 5 disks setup as raidz. ~4TB The 6th drive will be a hot spare. Is this config possible? I assume I have to use slices for the raidz pool. Is it easy to do? Is it a stupid idea? Any other suggestions? -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed...
