HEADS OF STATE END MEETING

THREE Presidents Benjamin Mkapa of the Republic of Tanzania, Yoweri Museveni of Uganda and Joseph Kabila of the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) have ended their two-day tripartite meeting in Dar-es-salaam.

During the meeting, Museveni and Joseph Kabila of the DRC held discussion centered on the Great Lakes Region, on the peace process in the Congo. The heads of state also reviewed the Luanda Agreement and reaffirmed their commitment to all the terms therein.

The two leaders expressed their readiness to launch the Ituri Pacification Committee (IPC) after the consultations with their stakeholders. Look out for more details
