Sh20m On Kony And Opoka? Why, Opoka Is Trapped In Pader!
SIR— Last week, Major Bantariza was reported as saying that James Opoka is trapped with some LRA rebels in Pader district and that the UPDF dragnet is fast closing in on him.
From that statement, one would be right to deduce that the UPDF knows exactly where Opoka is and that it is about to capture or kill him.
Now this week, we have been told that there is a 20-million-shilling reward for anybody who can give information leading to the capture or killing of Opoka. This has left me puzzled. Why would the UPDF put a price on the head of a person whose precise whereabouts are well known to them? I beg for enlightenment.
