M7 dared to build bodies before freeing parties

From Simba.fm

Recently the press wrote about President Yoweri Museveni stating that he wanted to free political space to accomodate multi-partyism at a meeting held for Movement cadres.

The Reform Agenda has challenged President Museveni and the NRM government to first build national institutions before political parties are freed. {Is the Reform Agenda urging Museveni to further delay the lift on political party ban until a  long and a tedious exercise of drafting a pro-people constitution is done?}  That could be another five years, men.
It seems that political party pluralism pauses a fear to the Reform Agenda.  If Ssebana Kizito runs for DP, which might take away votes from the Reform Presidential General.  If UPC fields candidate in the West, the Movement’s Political party might trounce both Reform and UPC.  Do not forget other mushrooming political parties in the making, which is deemed to dwindle the Reform’s support

Reform Agenda members say President Museveni’s expression of interest in freeing political parties is the right step in the move to democracy but Ugandans should continue searching for more political reforms.

A statement read for the Reform Agenda Deputy Chairman by Betty Kamya the Spokesperson of the pressure group said the government should put up a pro-people constitution free of manipulation as a pre-requisite for meaningful political returns.

Reform Agenda Deputy Chairman adds that government should build legal, administrative institutions and involve all political opposition groups in the political reforms of the country.
