Comrades, This is the time to be proud of UPC.
UPC has been in power twice but never confused the state and the party. Clear separation between the two is what enabled it to come up with strategies to run itself as an organisation financially independent of government. While the NRM is having the funding for its headquarters being stopped, UPC has run its party headquarters without break since 1986. And it will continue beyond today. This is an achievement of great significance. The NRM attempted to copy Milton Obote Foundation by launching DANZE. You rememebr the organisation which was supposed to build an NRM headquaters taller than Uganda House. They even allowed it to operate without paying taxes. And even with that unfair advantaged, DANZE still failed. We should be very proud of ourselves.
