Subject: Re: [Mwananchi] ZIMBABWE LEADS
IN FIGHT AGAINIST IMPERIALISM
Folks,
What is posted below is a shining example of
"intellectual obsolescence". It is amazing how some people continue
continue to cling to obsolete paradims and models -- like the coconut-heads
in Africa cling to power. It is ludicrous to think that the enemies of
Africa today are the same colonialists and imperialists of
yesteryear.
Are we not the same people who BEGGED the French to
intervene in Ivory Coast, the British to intervene in Sierra Leone, and the
Americans to intervene in Liberia because we have shown ourselves to be
hopelessly incompetent in managing our own affairs? Didn't the OAU
demand compensation from the U.S., France and other Western countries in
2000 for FAILING TO INTERVENE to stop the 1994 Rwanda genocide because
the OAU itself was asleep when the genodice was taking place? And
having destroyed the livelihood of WHITE commercial farmers in Zimbawe,
who produce the bulk of the nation's food, didn't Mugabe accept FOOD
AID from the EU? As if that food was produced by BLACKS in the
European Union! Now Mugabe leads the fight against imperialists? Give me a
break.
Our collective head needs to be examined.
