BAGHDAD, Iraq - A car bomb exploded Tuesday in the tense city of Fallujah, and at least six people were killed, witnesses said.

The blast occurred one day after suicide bombers devastated the Red Cross headquarters and three police stations in Baghdad, killing three dozen people and wounding more than 200.

Witness Hamid Ali said the bomb was located in a Toyota parked in front of the Fallujah power station and about 30 yards from a school and 100 yards from a police station.

The school was closed, but police said one body was found inside. The identity of the victim was not known.

U.S. troops arrived about 20 minutes after the blast and cordoned off the area. Fallujah is located about 40 miles west of Baghdad
