The detach commander of the UPDF based at Lwala Cathoic Mission in Kaberamaido district has advised parents whose sons joined the LRA rebels to convince them to surrender.
Lt. Kassim Mulumba said the army was aware of the number of boys from the area who joined the LRA and acted as guides for the rebels.
"We even know the names of the parents whose sons joined the rebels. My appeal to you is to convince your sons to come out.
We want them to know the difference between the UPDF and the rebels," Mulumba said
He was on Friday addressing the internally displaced during a meeting held at Lwala boy's primary school.
The meeting, called a day after Christmas, was to review the security situation in the area
