THE Acholi Parliamentary Group is to meet officials of the US Embassy today over the prevailing situation in northern Uganda, the General Secretary, Odonga Otto, has said.Joyce Namutebi reports that Otto said this yesterday while briefing journalists about the MPs' fact-finding visit to Kitgum district conducted last week
The Aruu MP said they would meet the officials to see how best they could help in the north.He told The New Vision that they had met officials from the Belgian, French and South African embassies.Relevant Links
He commended the team that visited Kitgum for the move.Ten MPs visited Kitgum to assess the situation of the internally displaced persons.
