Wapi..this is a lie... It is more like the LDUs will "protect" the camps.... while UPDF hides from "KONY" behind the civilian population scared to expose at the some time protecting the Bantu "seeds", so to say.

THE Army Commander, Maj. Gen. Aronda Nyakairima, will train and improve the welfare of the local defence militia (LDUS) to boost the UPDF's efforts in fighting the Kony rebels.In his message to Pader district local leaders read by the Uganda People's Defence Forces (UPDF) Fifth division second in command Lt. Col. Samuel Kiwanuka, Aronda said there was need to mobilise the youth to join the local militia.
"I will provide them with the necessary support in mobilising and recruiting LDUs. We shall train and arm them and promote their welfare by paying them sh60,000 per month," Aronda said.He said the LDUs would protect the internally displaced peoples camps and roads, while the UPDF pursue the LRA rebels in the bush.
"Kiwanuka delivered the message during a security meeting of Pader district, leaders at the District Council Hall recently.Pader resident district commissioner Ahmed Awongo chaired the security meeting, which was attended by Lt. Col. Charles Otema Awany, the overall UPDF northern region intelligence coordinator against LRA rebels.
