More power to her.  I wonder what stopped Ugandans from joining her in the demonstration.  Maybe they found out that she is a "managed opposition" trying her best to look credible.  The FDC is not a real opposition, it is pushing for Western Ugandans' dominance in politics and power.

I, being a Ugandan of sense, I would not waste my time going along with Mrs. Anne Mugisha.  She is known for being anti-federo.  I am a federo supporter who wants every region in Uganda to share the national cake in its region.  Anybody who is anti-federo is anti-sharing of the national cake in our respective regions.

About the Seattle demonstration, I was not alone as your photograph yesterday shows!

NOT ALONE? Anne Mugisha

SIR— Your picture in yesterday’s edition under the story “Kony can talk to Bigombe — Museveni” gives the impression that I was alone in the demonstration in Seattle.

This is not true. The demonstration attracted at least 25 Ugandans (five women) and many more Seattle residents many of whom stopped, participated or listened and then moved on.
Here are some details which
I hope will help you to correct the impression that you
created.

The demonstration took place outside the Seattle Sheraton Towers where the President was due to speak to participants in the Uganda North American Association Convention. It started at 9:30am and ended at 12:45pm. The participants included FDC activists Peter Otika, Moses Sebunya and Rukia Tezikuba.

They also included members of the Acholi Community in Seattle and California,
DP-USA secretary-general Lawrence Kiwanuka and a fellow DP activist joined the demonstrators as did a couple of brave gentlemen, Ka to Kajubi and Kiguli who were attending the Convention and defied PGB intimidation to join the demonstrators. Kajubi said he joined the demo as a way of advancing the democratic process.

Several members of the international community, including Amnesty International members, brought along pictures of the war and destruction in northern Uganda and joined the demo while a volunteer group called Peacemakers brought 10 people to make a ring around the demonstrators in case of any threats. As it turned out, they were not needed. There were a dozen policemen with bikes who were happy to stand around and enjoy the day with us. Tim Lwanga spoke to some of the demonstrators.

Members of the Presidential Guard Brigade who were attracted by the loud megaphone came out and tried to stare us down.
