Northern army spokesman Lt. Tabaro Kiconco said four of the abductees were rescued.

Meanwhile there is no independent verification of Lt. Taboro's claims..Citizens will just have to believe Tabaro when he claims that the UPDF  "rescued "  four abductees..  of the so called LRA rebels... if you question Tabaro's claims..well then tough lack!!! for him he has succeded to propagating his propaganda..and get a fat pay check from Museveni!

LRA rebels kill six

By Chris Ochowun

DESPITE appeals by the national and international communities to the LRA and the government to resume talks to end the northern war, the rebels have continued to wreck havoc on civilians.

The LRA rebels on Wednesday killed five civilians and abducted six others in three separate raids in Gulu and Lira districts.

Security sources said a group of rebels crossed to Te-Kulu village in Lira district, killed three civilians and abducted three others.

The three captives were later rescued by the UPDF.

Another group raided Obiya parish in Paicho sub-county, near the home of Gulu LC5 chief Col. Walter Ochora, killing one person identified as Ogola and abducting three others.

Northern army spokesman Lt. Tabaro Kiconco said four of the abductees were rescued.

“We have deployed a special force to search the thickets to catch up with the killers,” Tabaro said.

Chief peace broker, Betty Bigombe also recently arrived in Gulu to continue with the peace process.
