No prophets in Uganda today?

It is sad to hear the so-called prophetic utterances of "the men of God "in our present time. When you see what is claimed to be prophetic, it leaves a lot to be desired.
In October 2003 at Mandela (Namboole) National Stadium, there was a "prayer for the nation". That night of prayer hosted re-known singers like Alvin Slaughter from USA.

Some pastors "prophesied" that within "40 days", Joseph Kony of LRA and his forces would be no more. It is now 2 years down the road and Kony is still alive and well, people of the north are still in camps (IDPs) but funny enough," the prophets" have not said a word to the effect of their "prophecies." So the no-change slogan continues.
Let us look at the reasons behind these so-called prophecies at Namboole. Since Janet Museveni was in the prayer meeting, her husband had to hear good news from the so-called "prophetic utterances", thus, the 40 days declaration.

This kind of manipulation offers opportunistic politic ians platforms to cover up the governments incompetencies, with misplaced Bible verses and claiming the president to be a prophet/messiah of sorts. No wonder, at the official opening of Rubaga Miracle Centre (RMC), President Museveni was bold enough to declare that the balokole are here because of him or else they would have perished under the Catholic/Protestant church force. Why all this talk? Give me the votes for without me, you the balokole cannot survive. A messiah indeed. Since the Catholic and Protestant big guns have said no to kisanja, so look for the weak avenue which is the balokole.

Apostle Paul says some people exchange the truth for their bellies and I feel this is what is taking place in Uganda among many Pentecostal preachers. Just as God is no respecter of persons, the devil is also no respecter of persons and whoever avails him/herself to him, he will use them.

Many church ministers in Uganda are pursuing many mundane interests, some of them un godly, as is clearly seen in their Operation Clean the House, but not God, and so they will do anything.

"When a prophet speaketh in the name of the LORD, if the thing follow not, nor come to pass, that is the thing which the LORD hath not spoken, but the prophet hath spoken it presumptuously: thou shalt not be afraid of him (Deuteronomy 18:22).
