KampalaA Government cannot lead properly without a peaceful and contented Buganda, health state minister Capt. Mike Mukula has said.
He said, "That is why we fought hard to see that Buganda got everything that it demanded."
Mukula said this at the commissioning of kyakkonda Health Centre II in Kasaali sub-county, Rakai district, on Friday. The sh26m centre was built by World Vision, with sh7m from the sub-county.
Mukula said most of Buganda's demands had been met to the Kabaka's satisfaction and more were coming. "Mengo municipality is also on the way," he said.
Mukula lashed out at some Baganda who undermined what the kingdom received from the Government yet the Kabaka was contented.
"Who are you to question what the Kabaka has accepted?" he asked.
Mukula praised the Movement government for uniting Ugandans, adding that there was no government in Africa that worked better than that of President Yoweri Museveni.
He said the government spent over sh17b annually on religious-founded health centres and hospitals.
"That is why our opponents are jealous about the Movement government, because they know that we are doing a good job for the public, which assures us of support," Mukula said.
