PAPAL Nuncio Arch-bishop Christopher Pierre has called upon the Government to curb the insecurity in the north, saying people have suffered a lot.
Pierre was on saturday leading mass at the inter-university praye
r day at
Makerere University Business School, Nakawa.
About 800 students from Kyambogo, Nkumba and Makerere universities attended. Catholic communities in various institutions organised the prayer day to strengthen faith among students.
Pierre said people living in camps needed prayers because they lacked food and proper shelter.

He said peace could be achieved if people had a good working relationship with God. Pierre cautioned students against treasuring material things like money and luxurious lifestyles, saying they could ruin their future.
He hailed the students for playing a leading role in strengthening faith in tertiary institutions.
