Charles,
Like I opined earlier, Dr. Besigye should stay put and drive FDC to power
before consideration of anything.
Most of those attacking Dr. Besigye are merely NRA/M in disguished, who are
very scared that FDC is going to galvanized the entire Ugandans and therefore
will drive the movement out. FDC has supporters throughout the country; in the
North, in the East, in the West, in the South, and in Central Uganda. This is
the reason these people are so scared, for they know once FDC comes to power, a
new era is beginning without question. They are worried about what will
happened.
But that is not Ugandans' or Dr. Besigye's business. The role of Dr. Besigye
is to build the party; make sure it is ushered onto power so that its era can
be judged correctly. FDC members should not waste their time over these NRA/M
in disguise. In fact if I were an FDC stalwart, I would call for the muting of
the issue within and among party members so that those scared by Dr. Besigye
hit the wall all the time, only to wake up one and find that things are not as
they seem!
FDC officials, including Dr. Besigye should embark more on expounding their
political platform. The question of whether Dr. Besigye should go or not is
something that the party should not even bother discussing. How long did
Mandela stayed as ANC leader? Even when he was in prison, he was the leader of
the party. He only stepped down after putting ANC in power, handing over to
President Mbeki.
Those who are fighting Dr, Besigye are by and large buffoons. But then again
they are NRA/M. So no body to bother about it. The more they come on to fight
Dr. Besigye, who is not even the president of Uganda, the more we get to know
them.
Change will come; and that is when questions shall have to be asked!

I have been a member and an external wing leader of FDC even before that name
come into being, and I can confidently tell you that FDC is the only
transparent political entity in Uganda today. It is your prerogative to dispute
that fact, but you will have no choice but to prove to us otherwise. For this
reason, Ugandans have been given the opportunity to criticize, but also make
recommendations, where necessary. The party takes these criticisms and
recommendations very seriously, that it acts where necessary. Having said that,
I have failed to understand why you keep on nosing into the business of our
party and misusing your time to taint Besigye.
Should we the members of that party run into any problems with Besigye's
leadership one day, we know where to go to resolve them. Besigye is still
serving his term and I do not see anything wrong with that, since he has not
violated our constitution. As to whether or not he takes another shot to the
leadership of the party, depends on whether or not we put him there in 2010. I
gave him my vote in the previous delegates conference, but who knows what will
happen in 2010? The leader of the party that you support was carried while
still half asleep and dumped into a position she can barely manage. When she
expresses her self in english, its like she is speaking Luganda in reverse
gear, a disgrace to your party, for that is the business language of Uganda. The
entire leadership of that party is very questionable, why haven't you raised
those issues on this forum so that we can have the opportunity to grill you
people?
