This is the kind of idiocy of Mu7 that must be cut, if not peacefully
through election, then violently.
Industrialization does not mean auctioning a country!! The Mehta and Madhvani
have been in Lugazi and kakira for ion years, producing sugar! By the time some
of us were born, the Mehta and Madhvani were already looting our country's
economy due to ignorance and lack of savvyness of the population, pretending
that they are producing sugar, thereby developing Uganda economy and providing
jobs!!
What kind of industrialization have their sugar production brought to the
area?? The entire Basoga are as poor as their Acholi counterpart now herded
into concentration camps!! If industrialization was foreign-driven why is that
Uganda, especially around Busoga not industrialized todate despite the fact,
even hydro-power is based in the area??
Industrialization is the responsibility of the state, that must invest
taxpayers' monies into building not only the economy, but as well, human
capital!!
For the last 20+ years of NRA/M regime nothing of that kind has taken place.
Instead, Mu7 has presided over arms and ammunitions purcheses!! Weapons that
are used to kill the same citizens they are looting taxes from!!
Today Mu7 is looking for and indeed, have dished out million of dollars to
buy for his personal use gulfstream jet, when million of Ugandans cannot afford
to cure themselves of even curable diseases!! In the North and East, children
are going hungry; diseased; cannot go to school, or school themselves under
trees!! And we the so called educated idiots must keep mumb, or simply look the
other way for Mzee is getting himself a jet?? Not by using our peoples' taxes!!
What Mu7 and his NRA/M are doing is TOTAL DESTRUCTION OF UGANDA AS A
COUNTRY!! He is auctioning Uganda left, right, centre, supposedly to bring
about industrialization, while looting Ugandans' taxes for their personal use.
On top of the taxes, they, the NRA/M stalwarts, get some %tage of the
auctioning deal, (since these foreign investors' goal is to make astronomical
profits but not industrialized the country), that ends up in their personal
bank accounts somewhere in Europe and America, while citizens languish in
abject poverty. When will Uganda industrialized under such condition??
People who talk ignorantly about industrialization, when they squander all
opportunities for meaningful and genuine industrialization avenues, i.e,
state-inspired, need must be shot on sight. Period.
Why did Mu7 go to the bush with so called 27 men? Will the slim sheddy NRA/M
supporters please stand up and answer elaborately the damn question??

Uganda's President Yoweri Museveni on Friday revived a controversial plan to
hand over a swathe of rainforest to a local company to be destroyed and
replaced with a sugarcane plantation.
In an address to his party published in newspapers, Museveni called those who
oppose his plan to give 7 100 hectares or about a quarter of Mabira Forest
reserve to the private Mehta group's sugar estate "criminals and charlatans."
Uganda's government scrapped the original plan in October after a public outcry
and violent street protests in which three people died, including an ethnic
Indian man who was stoned to death by rioters.
Mehta is owned by an ethnic Indian Ugandan family.
"Mehta wants to expand his factory ... in the under-utilised part of Mabira ...
criminals and charlatans kicked up lies and caused death. We suppressed the
thugs," Museveni said.
Critics said destroying part of Mabira would threaten rare species of birds and
monkeys, dry up a watershed for streams that feed Lake Victoria and remove a
buffer against pollution of the lake from Uganda's two biggest industrial
towns, nearby.
"This issue should be resolved," Museveni said. "If we do not industrialise,
where shall we get employment for the youth? I will mobilise the youth to smash
... these cliques obstructing the future of the country."
Analysts say the plan to lift protection from Mabira is so unpopular that even
Parliament, which is hugely dominated by Museveni's supporters, would oppose it.
Stopping deforestation was high on the agenda at this month's global conference
on climate change in Bali.
Scientists estimate about 20% of global emissions of carbon dioxide, a
greenhouse gas that causes climate change, results from deforestation. Trees
suck carbon from the air and experts say Mabira sinks millions of tons of it.
Foresters estimate the value of the wood in the part of Mabira Mehta wants to
axe at around $170-million and say it can be logged in a sustainable way. This
compares with about $11-million per year from what Mehta expects to be 35 000
tonnes of sugar. - Reuters
