Greetings Abanayakigezi and Friends!

I am happy to share with you all that the Abanayakigezi and Friends group
http://www.facebook.com/group.php?gid=34350429158  is now 1000 member strong
and getting bigger by the day.  Our baby sister page Enfumu Z’Abanyakigezi
http://www.facebook.com/pages/Enfumu-ZAbanyakigezi/294261856970?ref=mf  reached
a similar milestone on February 15, 2010.
Continue to put up all the helpful links you know or discover, pictures,
stories and all bits about Kigezi of the past, present and future. Through the
Enfumu Z’Abanyakigezi page, continue to share proverbs, sayings (Enfumu) or
even Idioms from Kigezi for the benefit of both our memory and the future
generation.  Ask questions and reply to questions whenever possible. Learning
about Kigezi is what we are about.

I am happy as well to let you know that we are in advanced stages of
amalgamating all the major Banyakigezi groups with the same interest as ours
into Abanyakigezi and Friends, and to have related events like conventions and
meetings advertised and promoted on this forum. This is mainly for better
coordination, management and to take advantage of the opportunity of being part
of a larger network, amongst many other reasons. Remember, our mother
organization, the International Community of Banyakigezi (ICOB) now in its 7th
year, www.abanyakigezi.org brings together all the people of Kigezi and all
friends of Banyakigezi.
Please join me in welcoming our brothers, sisters and friends from the groups
BAKIGA - PEOPLE OF THE MOUNTAINS and OMURAMBA GW' ABAKIGA whose merger with
Abanyakigezi and Friends will complete after a suitable transition period. And
while at it, welcome Martha Tukahirwa, Daniel Vien, Anthony Ayebare and Denis
Aguma who together with me now constitute the Admistrators group. More on this
at a later date.

Thank you for supporting and belonging to this your very group, Abanyakigezi
and Friends http://www.facebook.com/group.php?gid=34350429158  It is your forum
and even the sky will not limit how far and high up you wish to grow it.
Johnson Mujungu
